Lyle Watt Spirited Blues Player – Underground Guitarist of the Day

Lyle Watt, from the North of Scotland, has some serious guitar technique.  He actually was runner up in the International 2008 Guitar Idol competition.  And for good reason.  I noticed he has a unique technique for getting harmonics from his guitar.

Check out his jam over a BluesJamTracks backing track. Using his new guitar, a Fender Showmaster QBT, straight into a Blackstar HT-5, miced with an SM-57, and a bit of reverb from the TC Electronic M30 plugin.
