Guitarists in Iraq War Zone

Post image for Guitarists in Iraq War Zone

Once you start playing guitar it’s become something that stays in your system forever. It doesn’t matter where you are or what you’re going through. It just becomes an extension of your soul. Another way to express how you feel and what you are experiencing. Even when you’re in a bad spot pulling out your guitar and jamming a little while can make things seem a whole lot better. Just take a look at these two soldiers in Iraq.

Even though they’re a long way from home, and there’s a war going on all around them, they still get out the guitars and play.

Blake Luquette plays a composite guitar in Iraq. You can hear some shells firing in the background as he plays one of his songs.

The next one is from three guys performing a song called “Anger” I don’t know if it is their own composition or written by someone else, but hell, I can feel it. This is what I am talking about. They had this note on the video:

The song “Anger” in its first run with a regular digital camera. RIP: Barry Clay Wilson Jr. (Bass Guitar)

Update: Looked through the comments underneath. The singer wrote the song himself.

Let him know how you like the song.
